The tournament was an important training ground for knights throughout the medieval period. It was also dangerous with serious injury and deaths not uncommon and this led to the practice being banned from time to time because of the toll it took of good fighting men. This range portrays knights accoutered for various disciplines and competitions that made up a tournament. They are of different times across the medieval era. |
